CONNSTEP
We will briefly discuss the requirement as well as NIST SP 800-171 ?Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations,? which is the minimum set of security requirements. We will describe a three-step approach to assessing information systems against the security requirements in NIST SP 800-171 and working toward the demonstration of compliance to the DFARS.
Jeff Orszak is the Technology & Innovation Manager at CONNSTEP. At CONNSTEP, Jeff assists Connecticut companies with innovation and product development. He has more than 20 years of product development and program management experience, leading diverse teams in telecommunication, semiconductor, and aerospace industries. Jeff has created partnerships leading to the introduction of new technologies into the market and applied Lean tools to improve operational and product development processes. He is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and of Boston University. He is active in supporting STEM education.
